The chairman of the ruling party in Tanzania is selected today

 

The National Assembly of the Revolutionary Party in Tanzania begins today in Dodoma with the intention of choosing a Party Chairman and two Vice-President from Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar.
The party is developing a strategy for regaining its status after the election of 2015. Two years in the reign of President Magufuli, the wind seems to turn. Opposition is going to weaken, while CCM is getting stronger.
On the other hand, the CCM status returns significantly to Tanzanian youth democracy. In recent times opposition councilors and parliamentary witnesses have been accused of leaving their parties claiming that President Magufuli is doing good work. On the contrary, opposition claims corruption has been used to persuade CCM to move.
At the same time, President Magufuli has come up with new orders on how to make politics. There will be no longer public hearings until the elections, except for parliamentary and local councilors. At the same time, President Magufuli himself performs regular meetings combining party activities with the government.
In addition, opposition leaders have found themselves arrested and charged with stigma when they render different pronunciation, while others fear their security for allegedly intimidating them.
