At Ubongo, we entertain kids in Africa to learn and love learning. Our interactive edu-cartoons are watched by over a million families in East Africa, and we’re expanding fast! We produce the hit TV edu-cartoon Ubongo Kids, which teaches math and science through fun, animated stories and catchy original songs. Viewers can interact with the show from basic mobile phones, answering questions while they watch and getting encouragement from their favorite cartoon characters.

We are looking for an Early Childhood Development (ECD) Educator who will be responsible for advising on content created to educate young learners on pre-literacy, pre-numeracy, motor skills development, English and Kiswahili language skills as well as integrate these learnings into the production process at Ubongo Learning.

REQUIREMENT​:

1. Minimum diploma in education, degree preferred and ​minimum 2 year work/field experience in classroom as an early years educator

2. Proven track record and passion for teaching children in the areas of ECD learning

3. Great communication skills

4. Fluency in English and Kiswahili

5. Flexibility in modes of instruction

6. Good attention to details – written and audio

7. Ability and willingness to learn new tasks and software as required

8. Ability to work independently and use time effectively

9. Ability to work as part of a team and lead a smaller team, whilst maintaining effective working relations with supervising personnel and co-workers
